Your first visit

What should a patient expect on their first visit:

The first visit will always depend on the severity of the condition. A patient can expect to fill out a packet of forms that will give the doctors a brief history of their current injury as well as past histories of surgeries, illnesses, and injuries.

After the initial physical and neurological examination, the doctor will determine whether further diagnostic testing is necessary before treatment is administered. If no further testing is warranted, the patient can expect light treatment on their first visit to the office.

After the initial consultation, the patient can expect the doctor to present a report of findings and plan of action before any treatment is provided. The normal patient can expect subsequent visits for the first few weeks to begin the healing process towards optimal physical function.
